Helping Hands
Equus-Idaho serves Adults and Dislocated Workers who are Idaho residents, authorized to work in the U.S, complied with Selective Service requirements, and who meet 1 or more of the following criteria.

Idaho Adults

Idaho

​Individuals who are:

  • Veterans and Eligible Military Spouses

  • Recipients SNAP (Food Stamps) or TANF (Cash Assistance)

  • Low-Income or Under-Employed

  • Basic skills deficient or didn't graduate High School

  • English language learners with low levels of literacy

  • Justice Involved and re-entering the workforce

  • Homeless

  • Long-term unemployed more than 27 weeks consecutively

  • Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers

  • Persons with Disabilities

  • Single Parents including Single pregnant women

  • Foster youth who have aged out of the system

  • Within an underrepresented demographic such as sex, race, or ethnicity

  • Native Americans, Alaska Natives, or Native Hawaiians

  • 55 years old or older

  • Residing in Rural counties

Dislocated Workers  

Laid off

Individuals who:

  • have been Laid-off and are unlikely to return to their previous industry or occupation

  • have received notice of lay-off or notice of Termination at no fault of their own

  • are eligible or have exhausted Unemployment Benefit payments
  • worked, or are working for a company that closed, or is closing
  • were Self-employed but experienced a business downturn or failure which occurred as a result of general economic conditions in their community, or because of a Natural Disaster
  • who's termination was a direct result of Covid-19
  • who are Displaced Homemakers that provided unpaid services to family members and/or was reliant on another's income but is no longer supported in that fashion

Equus Workforce Solutions provides a variety of options to help customers with disabilities use the services, resources and information offered at each of our locations.  As a person with a disability, defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), you have the right to access all services, programs and activities provided by Equus Workforce Solutions. 

 

As part of our commitment to providing services to all Idaho citizens, we provide accessible equipment in designated areas of our Locations to assist people with disabilities in their employment search. In each of our centers, Located in a Department of Labor near you, will provide the following:

 

  • Reserved workstations 

  • Wheelchair accessible facilities

  • Keyboards with extra-large character font

  • Accessible websites, including idahoworks.gov

  • Relay Idaho info: 1-800-377-3529 (TDD) / 711 (Voice) and IP Relay info

  • We also partner with The Idaho Department of Labor's Vocational Rehabilitation Services  to insure that individuals with disabilities have access to necessary services.
